iOS 9.1 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch released [Download Links]

iOS 9.1 IPSW download links for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices are now available. Apple has just released iOS 9.1, the first major software update to its iOS 9 mobile operating system. The final version of iOs 9.1 is now available for download to the general public after going through five beta versions which were released to both developers and public beta testers. iOS 9.1 not only comes with some new features, it also brings support for Apple’s upcoming products such as the iPad Pro and the Apple TV 4. iOS 9.1 comes loaded with 150+ new Emojis characters including middle finger, taco, burrito, cheese wedge, unicorn head, and more. All of these Emoji characters now fully support Unicode 7.0 and 8.0. It also adds improvements to the Live Photos for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Messages app has also received a new option in Settings to allow users to disable photos of certain contacts. Live wallpapers have also seen an update.

Jailbreak must stay away from upgrading to iOS 9.1 as it breaks the Pangu iOS 9.0.2 jailbreak. In the security notes of iOS 9.1 release, Apple clearly credit team Pangu for finding two of the vulnerabilities that have been patched now that they used in Pangu jailbreak, which may have effectively rendered Pangu 9 jailbreak ineffective.
If you do not care about jailbreaking your device, you can update to iOS 9.1 software version OTA (Over-The-Air) by going into Settings > General > About. OTA update for the iPhone 6s Plus weighs at 313MB. Size may vary for other devices.
